Coming soon - new project

I'm the Pillar 2 Co-Lead, along with Karen Foster, Dalhousie University, on a new SSHRC Project titled "The Common Ground Canada Network: Building Relationships for Just and Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems Transitions." Pillar 2 will focus on the relationships across and between rural and urban communities, looking at everything from social, political, and cultural inequalities to rural-urban transportation issues. We'll also look at rural-urban market relationships – think Farm to Table and Farm to Closet movements. Given the affordable food crisis, we are very interested in issues relating to food insecurity. As an enthusiastic spinner and knitter, I'm particularly interested in the relationships between food and fibre systems, so if you are too - please reach out to me.
